Donation Policy

Direct Energy supports various community organizations in each of the cities in which we do business. To be eligible for financial support, the organization for which you are requesting a donation must:

• Be a registered charitable organization that is working to find long-term solutions to homelessness
• Be based in the communities where we operate
• Be of benefit to the greatest number of people

Sponsorship Policy

At this time, Direct Energy provides sponsorship dollars to community events through the individual business units. Please direct all requests to directinthecommunity@directenergy.com and we will ensure that they are forwarded to the appropriate Direct Energy contact.

LBG Canada

Direct Energy is one of 10 founding members of the London Benchmarking Group (LBG) Canada; a member-driven association working toward a higher standard in the management, valuation and performance measurement of corporate community involvement. Our parent company, Centrica, has been a member of the LBG since its inception in the U.K.

"Centrica, Direct Energy's parent company, has been a member of the LBG in the UK since 2000. This has resulted in significant improvements in community program management, evaluation and reporting. The LBG Model is a proven framework that enables us to gain a better understanding of the combined impact of our investments through consistent valuation and performance measurement."
