An annual tune-up of all the equipment covered under your plan
Your home's furnace, water heater and air conditioning systems are mechanical devices - just like your vehicle's engine. And like all mechanical systems, this equipment requires regular maintenance and tune-ups.
Every year we provide a comprehensive service call, focused on ensuring:
- Optimal performance: We'll check every important part of your covered equipment and ensure it's operating at its best. A furnace tune-up, for example, can improve energy efficiency by as much as 15%.
- Pre-emptive repairs: As you'll see below, we cover the cost of most parts and repairs, so we want to identify and fix small problems before they become BIG problems. You benefit by having a stable system that's less likely to break down unexpectedly.
- Safety checks: for gas leaks, carbon monoxide, combustion and exhaust gases. We'll make sure your home is safe.
- Education: We'll help you understand the regular (monthly) maintenance needs of your system. Regular maintenance that will help ensure your system works well - and as efficiently as possible - for a long, long time.
- Annual tune-ups are performed between February and August of each year. This allows us to ensure we have adequate technical support during the cold winter months when breakdowns are more common.
Free Repairs - Labour and most parts for repairs are covered under your plan.

- Furnaces: motors, burners, ignition and combustion systems, electronics, switches and more
- Water heaters: burner assembly and pilot system
- Air conditioners: pumps, fans, motors, and drains
There are some exclusions - generally speaking these are parts that just aren't worth repairing. Some parts are so expensive to repair them that you're probably better off to get a new system. This would be parts such as the heat exchanger in your furnace, the condenser unit of your central air conditioner or the internal vessel of a water heater.

- Add water heater(s): $4.00 per unit per month (Extra Care plans only)
- Add furnace(s): $12.00 per unit per month (excluding Cooling Plus)
- Add air conditioner(s) $12.00 per unit per month (excluding Heating Plus)
